Can people have weddings and receptions on cruise ships?

Im planning on getting married one day. My dream wedding would be on a cruise but i dont know if they gonna let folks have their weddings and reception and honeymoon on cruises. If they do, how much would they charge you for all of that?

I know they do allow weddings etc.. on some cruise ships which ones I dont know. Usually the smaller type ones I would think but i’m not sure. you could check with travel agencies or try to google cruise ship weddings and see if you come up with anything

I know charters do like ones thats doing fishing and sightseeing do weddings and reception not sure about honeymoon though maye if you hire a private one you could prob to it all. I know that some of the big cruise liners have little chapels you can get married in but that means you will have the guets on the honeymoon.

Im sure it would be permitted & the cruise company would probably have a celebrant on board as well as hair & make-up artist :o )
For prices & permissions I would search websites or contact a tourism organisation or travel agent :o )

How old are you Jasmine? Why are you not dreaming about college instead of dreaming about your wedding on a cruise ship? If you hit the books, and get an education, you can go on whatever cruise you want. Where are kids heads at these days?

I just had a honeymoon cruise. Ppl do this all the time. Most ship lines have packages and let you get married in a ” port of call” and provide like flowers, cake, official and maybe some champagne. I went on Royal Caribbean and they had various packages. As far as a reception, they don’t do that because they have to allow all passengers to have access to all parts of the ship, can’t close off part for you.

Look at a cruise line web site. Every cruise line is different but they all ahve information on line.

Yes, the most certainly hold weddings on cruise ships, as well as “ports of call” where the ship stops for the day. You can get married on the ship if you want. (I went on a cruise last year, and saw someone getting married as the ship set sail, and the sun set). They charge everyone the normal price for the cruise. If you want flowers, champagne, or any extras, you have to pay more, (which is VERY expensive! They charge about 3 times the price as you will find in any store, maybe even more than that). They have people to do your hair and make-up, but I’ll be honest, they aren’t the best in the world-(at least not on the cruise I went on with Carnival Cruise Lines). I’m not sure about private receptions, but even if the reception were private, you would have a hard time keeping party crashers out, because it’s not like they would provide security. I wouldn’t let that ruin your good time though; cruises are very fun, and as long as you have the people you want with you, I don’t think a ship full of people wishing you well will ruin that.
